Easy to Make Ginger Shots

ginger shot recipe

If you already read my article about the ten health benefits of ginger, you might recall that I mentioned drinking a ginger shot every morning.

This daily lemon ginger shot is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, boosting my immune system, aiding digestion, and controlling blood sugar. Plus, it leaves me feeling energized and ready to face the day.

It is so easy and quick to make – perfect for those who are not morning people (who, me?). By making it at home, I know exactly what’s in it and it saves some money too.

So, why not join me in this simple morning routine and start your day with a refreshing ginger shot?

Ingredients

  • One medium-sized peeled ginger root (rhizome)
  • One lemon
  • Two tablespoons of honey
  • Two cups of water
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method

  • Add all the ingredients (except black pepper) into a blender
  • Blend until you get a smooth texture
  • Strain the blended mixture (I prefer cheesecloth) into a jug and discard the solids
  • Pour the fresh, strained mixture into your desired jug
  • Add a pinch of black pepper for a kick of flavor

Tip: Refrigerate it for 5-7 days in an airtight container!

Drink it daily, and you’ll quickly notice the positive impact this ginger shot has on your well-being!
